Our mission is simple yet profound: we love your dog like our own, and we're here to help your furry friend feel better and live longer through gentle, non-invasive, rehabilitation modalities that yield remarkable results.

After collaborating for more than two decades in the veterinary field as vet nurses in the Northern Rivers, we noticed a gap in services for supporting our pets through their recovery journey from injury, surgery, disease, or the natural aging process. That's why we've created a special space in Bangalow, where our beloved pets can receive the effective, supported care that they require and deserve, for a healthier, happier, longer life!

  • My cavoodle, Mr Darcy, has seen Rachelle for treatment every four weeks since 2017. I think of it more as a remedial massage for a very active dog. Mr. D loves to run, hunt, leap, and chase.   • Bailey, my dear golden retriever, suffered a number of health issues, particularly in his later years, upon hearing very positive reports from a number of Bailey’s doggie friend’s owners, we started regular Bowen therapy with Rachelle. It was very evident that Bailey enjoyed the relaxing and loving treatments by Rachelle and he moved comfortably after each treatment. I believe the Bowen treatment gave Bailey a better quality of life. I feel this is a health modality that is definitely worth pursuing.

  • Shirley, has many issues, not least her aging and deteriorating mobility, but, from the beginning Shirley has had extreme emotional responses as a Rescue Dog. I have tried everything as you know, from medications to injections. However, the one, proven benefit to Shirley’s mobility and mood is the regular Bowen Therapy you give her. After her treatment she is calmer, more agile and less restless during the night. Shirley seems to have less pain in her joints, particularly her back legs which have both had joint replacements.

  • I first met Rachelle in 2012 when we started having Bowen therapy for our Kelpie X rescue dog Maggie May. The Bowen made a huge difference to Maggie’s pain levels and it also helped facilitate her healing after the surgeries that she ended up having. She used to bound into that Bowen room like nobody’s business. Maggie remained active until the end of her life at twelve and a half years old and I am sure she would not have remained as active had she not had the Bowen Therapy.

  • Rachel treated my Labrador Jindy for 6+ years after an incident damaging her back with resulting arthritis. Without a shadow of doubt I know that Rachel’s treatment program profoundly contributed to both her quality of life and longevity (15ys). Rachel also treats my other Labrador (8yrs), a very active male, with his program focus being maintenance, to ensure his body stays strong and well aligned so he & I can continue to do the things together that we love, including local dog training events

  • Zeus has been seeing Rach for a number of years after an accident that caused some soft tissue and muscle damage to his lower back and hips. Zeus is a big dog who commits’ 110% of his energy, strength and drive to an activity. We have dabbled in agility, bikejoring and take part in obedience training. After his accident I saw how much the therapies Rach offers helped relieve the pain, reduce stiffness and aided in his recovery. Rach herself is wonderful with Zeus and works on him with a lot of understanding of dog behaviour and how pain and discomfort can influence a dogs behaviour. Zeus genuinely loves going to visit Rach and takes himself into her room and gets up on the table ready for his treats and pats.

Recycle for Sustainable Pet Futures.

Canine Howlistic Health is thrilled to offer an innovative recycling solution for waste that cannot be traditionally recycled, such as old, unused, pet products like toys, leads, collars, harnesses and food/water bowls! Simply place the product you want to recycle in our Zero Waste Box™ located at our reception area. These boxes will then be sent to TerraCycle® for recycling. So, instead of ending up in landfill or incinerators, the contents of the box will be sorted and turned into raw materials that can be reused!
